When I was a picket of the School Guard Team….

The School Guard Team is necessary for all the schools. Our duties just like a guard or a patrol to keep the community safe. We are in charge of checking assignments, protecting the safety of our school and maintaining order in school. In a word, we play the key roles on campus. A picket is like a role model for all the students. When the school bell rings, everyone marches forward to the main gate gradually. It is fantastic to see that they idolize and admire us from their eyes.

Last week, it was my great honor to be chosen to join our School Guard Team. We disposed all over the gates at school. I was very excited and my duty was to guard in the main gate. It’s a great honor to standing in front of the main gate as well as the patrol team to keep everyone safe and to protect everybody from the dangers.

Once the school bell rang, all the students came out from their classrooms. Some students went downstairs, I maintained the order by reminding them “Don’t run”. They ignored what I said. They were very childish to keep running all the time. Moreover, I had to pay more attention on the students around the stairs from the dangers by reminding them “No pushing!” Frankly, to be a picket at school wasn’t as easy as I thought. At the last day I was on picket duty, everything went smoothly. I learned how to be a picket. I believed that I can do a better job next time.

Although it was a short period for me to be a picket in school, I truly experienced how to direct the traffic. It was uneasy. This made me understanding the hard work and great responsibility of the School Guard Team. I tried my best to be a responsible picket at school. It was my great honor to provide the best services for the all at school.

One-week picketing in school made me exhausted, not to mention that the patrol team always keeps our community safe day and night. Therefore, I am grateful for their great contributions and I want to say “Thank you!” to them for guarding our Li-long village.
