Arts and humanities ~ In the webpage production process, in addition to the editing of photographs, artistic design of the webpage and its layout also need to be performed to produce an effective and visually pleasing webpage.

What information tools and technologies did you use to complete your Cyber fair project?

In our project, we used these tools which included digital cameras, telephones, computer software, projectors, recorders, books and etc... By using the projectors and computers at school, we could discuss and work in groups to make the webpage. The recorders and earphone helped us to record all the interviews. Moreover, we often took pictures with our own cameras during our experiences activities. No matter what tools we used, we thought the most useful and valuable tool is internet. The internet helped us not only find data and information we need, but also send the photos and the articles to our teammates. Most importantly, we communicated with each other via the internet and integrated the finished parts into the project on the web.

In what ways did your students act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your Cyberfair project both on-line and in person?

"Grassy Kom" start Beitou economic prosperity, although over time, after seven decades of years, only a few farmers continue to grow, "Grassy citrus' livelihoods, in order to keep this beautiful piece of land Some farmers started organic cultivation, although the appearance of the fruit is not lovable, but Paul has a native "Grassy orange" unique flavor and Q shells flesh. Datun Department scope majority of respondents farmers living dispersed, we first compiled the first student group to assign a different time to visit and contact the agreed meeting time by phone, their duties and to-face visit, gather information, photographs, then through a compilation of computer processing each message, not only to produce a thematic "Loving Grassy orange", the other classes and to be "detergent DIY 'web pages to each class teaching and promoting" Grassy orange "by a more transparent This activity related to a process of training students to organize and coordinate the planning, communication and response, and articles compiled language ability. Hope that through this page to Beitou unique "Grassy orange" share to more people know.

What has been or will be the impact of your project on your community?

Although Taiwan kinds Tankan many places, and yield more than Beitou area, but "Grassy orange" is a unique fruit along Datun Department, the Department of the District to except Hokutolite, another to place names in the specialty, and because special geological climate, although the appearance is not good, but the flavor and flesh, is not comparable to other types of oranges, farmers are proud to produce, but once the economic boom driven Beitou important crops. Students through the writing process topics, understand that only hard work in order to have a sweet harvest, not easy for food, more appreciative.
At the event, the integration of these farmers farming dribs and drabs, forming a systematic information depth picture of this unique property, and by participating in creating web pages and look forward to more Taiwanese and international tourists come here and enjoy the unique "Grassy Kom. "

How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Referrals via miles long, so we have access to Datun, the fountains of the farmers and the initiative to invite us to visit the orchard, field experience, first-hand knowledge of the process of growing and tasting different varieties of Tankan, thank respondents willing busy to accept our visit, and provide a lot of valuable information and stories, so our interview full harvest.

Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises

In the production of "green detergent Tankan" was originally a small activity, but used people feel good special effects, it has been asked someone to class, and a lot of production, promotion to friends and family. We also fell in love with wash lunch boxes, when the mother's little helper. Respondents receive our gifts, we will proud to say: "This is our own doing Oh!" They really like us to send a "detergent", farmers also requested us to teach them to do it!
To understand
the "climate change", recorded Beitou plains, and Yangmingshan daily temperatures, although the network information is developed, but in order to have the spirit of the experiment, we carefully recorded daily, and then drawn into the table, so that we more clearly plains temperature changes and mountains. Under these temperature changes explore creating a delicious "Grassy orange."
"Species Tankan's Seed"
is our most frustrating activity, originally from "an orange," the first kind, without a germination success, "Grassy orange" is now mostly "seedless", no seeds can be planted, then replant " lunch "orange Zizhong, began sprouting with new hope. Later, through the visit, to know, Tankan varieties of seeds, are multi-embryo, the seed will not germinate. So, now mostly farmers or buy new seedlings grafted to grow new trees.
Due to the recent "food safety" issue
after another, so we use the boss now picking the "Grassy orange" do jam and tea, because there is no spill pesticides, boss guarantee 'skin can be eaten. " We pulp making jam, marmalade and factories under comparison, we all love this sour flavor jam. Piga flesh make tea, although everyone says somewhat bitter, but in the winter Ling Ling to a cup of warm and throat of "Grassy citrus tea", but the popularity of it!
From the interview records,
each a little story, "dependent on the weather," tells the hard work and achievements of farmers unknown, people say, "you have land, you have wealth," in order to allow land is not abandoned, adhere to the faith, doing young people are reluctant to take over the job, along with the passage of time, Grassy still waiting Yi Keke new species of trees grow, harvest hope, expect a better price, looking forward to next year's bloom better, waiting for harvest.
