They send children to school in the morning, help old woman who buy things in market to go home, and some people ask them to buy food at night. It is actually the characteristic of Beitou. It  also make some businesses opportunity to help the natives.

What do you think the motorcycle courier service is in the minds of natives?

The service is better than taxi and it is as the same as the neighbour in our mind.

Have you ever call the motorcycle courier service?

I often do. For example, when my motorcycle goes broken, I will ask them to carry me to the destination.

What is your impress of motorcycle courier service?

My impress is limited. For example, a Japanese gourmet came here for visit, because we do not know how to guide them, we ask the motorcycle courier service to help.

What do you think the future development of motorcycle courier service is?

The motorcycle courier service has already declined, it can grow prosperity only be with the visiting industry, but the ability of these staffs is still limited. They may not understand the building built newly very much, so they can’t explain very detailed. In addition there is obstacle on languages, the guide person have to understand English, Japanese and mandarin, but most of them only know and speak Taiwanese, so they are not very suitable for the person who does guide.

What can be improved of the motorcycle courier service in Beitou?

I think we should train young people to join this trade, and eliminate the problematic person. There are 60 motorcycles offer the service now, may be fewer and fewer later, we hope to keep them and increase the number. So we should encourage young people to join this trade, it can also increase some employment opportunities.
