Q: What is your work called?
We are called “Motorcycle Courier Service “. There are more people in a family in the past, so people go market would buy more things than now and need help. The older generation cannot ride motorcycle, so we provide motorcycle service to carry them home.
Q: Why are you engaged in this job? And how long have you done this job?
My friend introduced me this job, and I am engaged more than 20 years. I wanted to change a better job when I was young, but I give up because it takes time to suit again.

There are 5 or 6 stores offer the motorcycle courier service in Beitou, and you can only find this service in Beitou. We have offered this service more than 40 years.
Q: What are your service items? How to stipulate the price of the service?
We can help to do everything, so long as it is a rational demand. Our working time is determined by oneself, more working time, and more money. To do different things with different price, for example, carrying a person cost 40; buying things cost 60, because buying things needs to wait, the price are more expensive.

The business is usually better in the daytime. In winter and summer vocation, because there is no students have to go to school and leave school, the business is worse.

People pay more attention to safety now, some parents want to know whether the staff send children to the destination safely or not, we are also pay attention to this point very much. In addition, we stipulate that people wants to join this job should have driving license; don't chew areca and smoke when carrying passenger, and being neat, too.
Q: What difficulties are there in work?
We are very afraid to get the person drunk, because all of us do not know what the person drunk will do. If guests fall down because of carelessness, that is troublesome! Or someone has let the motorcycle go shopping, but he does not admit while sending, our losses are very big, because money that they made in one day is not much, however, because of the practical joke, the money used to buy the things must be responsible for by oneself.
Q: What is the hardest thing in work?
The hardest one is working on hot day, we have to run in the west and run in the east. It will be extremely hot soon, anyone would want to come back home to have a rest very much.
Q: What is the most interesting or happiest thing in work?
Getting tips from customers is the happiest thing. Sometimes because of the language barrier, we buy the wrong thing or sent to the wrong place is also quite interesting!
Q: Which road in Beitou is the most difficult to ride?
Boss was not familiar with Beitou at the beginning, but he know those roads well now. The most dangerous road in Beitou is Xinmin Rd. and Wenquan rd., near by the Spring City Resort, because the curvature of the road is big and the speed of cars which goes down the hill is very fast.
Q:What is your impress of motorcycle courier service?
3 years ago, Beitou District Office want to establish a patrol team, they have assembled all staffs of motorcycle courier service. However, everybody work in different time, the plan comes to nothing.
